MCDC MEET # 9

MCDC Meet #9 was held at Ambika's house. It was a small cozy gathering compared to the previous meet held at pastry pro with 50 over members.

The meet started off with Inamohde giving the welcome speech. Then we had Guest Speaker Dr Amin giving a speech on Women's Health and Anti - Ageing. He talked abt Iredelogy, Colon Irigation and benifits of Yoga .

After that Ambika showed us how to make Rainbow Couscous. A healthy Veg dish make from Couscous, onions, different colour peppers , lemon juice, green chillys and spices. 

After that it was Makan time.....there was a wide varity of veg dishes from veg chicken satay, veg kuey-teow, Channa Batuara (Yummy ), Dosa and Chutney and ABC......

After all that food. We had a Demo of Handbag Cake by Jo. This is the cake she did during the demo.

Then when we thought that was the end then there was a SURPRISE compition. It was a fig modeling Compition. A team had two members and in 15min we were supposed to make a replica of the teddys shown below. We were given no tools only our hands and some sticks and edible markers.

I and Nira formed a team. Nira was a great partner. I did the body of the bears and Nira did the heads. 

We had real fun ...Some pictures taken during the compition.........

This is our final figures of the teddy. Can you spot the difference. I thought they looks Chubby and Cute.

and guess what we WON. We each got a fondant impression roller. I was wanting to buy one for a long time and i was happy i got it ......

All in All it was a great day and had lot of fun and laughter.

MALAYSIAN CAKE DECORATING CLUB - MCDC MEET #8

I recently joined the Malaysian Cake Decorating Club Forum , its a great place for cake decorator to share their ideas and ask questions.

This Saturday they had their 8th Meet at Pastry Pro. The topic was Making Ice Creams and Ice Cream Cakes. I was very glad I was able to make it since I met a lot of people and made some new friends. We learnt how to make delicious Ice Cream from home and how to make ice cream cakes. After that we got to taste all the ice creams and the cakes..........Wow it was a YUMMY experience............
